Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé. 70% Merlot 24% Cabernet Franc 6% Cabernet Sauvignon

This Château, owned by Gerard and Dominique Bécot, has had an up-and-down history due to its demotion from Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1984 and then its re-admission ten years ago. However, this was more a technical than qualitative demotion at the time and has happily been rectified. Now, it is considered to be one of the top performers in Saint-Emilion.

Sturdy and well structured, perfumed red berry nose, good concentration of ripe fruit with defined acidity, tannins finely balanced and great length. 8-18 years.
