Description

Inspira is a second label from Viña Chocalan. It is made from fruit from slightly younger vineyards. Chocalan Estate’s 80 hectares of vineyard are situated in a part of the Maipo Valley not previously planted with vines, between the Andes and the Coastal Mountain range. The proximity of the vineyards to the Pacific Ocean ensures that the heat of the warm days is mitigated by the cool breezes that are funnelled down the valley at night. This ensures a longer ripening period, and more elegant, less jammy wines.

Dark, dense and concentrated, this wine shows well balanced hints of black sarsaparilla, dark cherry, and Turkish coffee. With good structure and acidity, on the palate the wine has ripe fruits, thyme and laurel herbs and finishes with elegant tannins.
