Description

Typical of what decent Chablis should taste like - not a trace of oak, pungent and flinty on the nose with a tad of creamy fruit underneath, this gets richer as the mineral characters give way to riper buttery sensations but then cut back by a long crisp bite. The kind of wine that gets nicer as you go along.

Sommelier Wine Awards 2008, Gold List Sommelier Wine Awards 2008, By the Glass Award Judges comments "Crisp, clean and relatively forward in style, this modern Chablis was praised by the judges for its lime-scented palate and 'racy finish', with a crunch of acidity behind the soft fruit. All were enthused by its food-matching capabilites at the price" The Sommelier Wine Awards is the UK's only on-trade exclusive wine competition, judged by a panel of the UK's leading Sommeliers and on-trade wine buyers. The best of the wines submitted are included in the Short List, and the best of these awarded Gold List status. In 2008 Boutinot achieved 36 Awards, 15 Gold List wines and 19 Short List wines, a By the Glass Awards and the Critics Choice Award.
