Description

John Duval who was given the Grange torch by Max Schubert and only passed it onto his successor several years ago when he left Penfolds. He is one of the world’s great winemakers who set out on his own with the 2003 vintage, sourcing fruit from some long-time friends in the Barossa. The aim of Entity is to produce a wine true to the Barossa Valley, variety, and vintage. The more subtle French oak was chosen to compliment the ripe blackberry, blueberry fruit. Traditional, low intervention winemaking techniques are employed with Entity, allowing the wine to be approachable in its youth, but with ample structure and fruit depth to allow great potential for improvement in the bottle under good cellaring conditions for at least 10 years. Dense ruby purple in colour, with perfumes of youthful blackberry and blueberry fruit complexed with savoury French oak. Rich and generous, with good concentration of dark fruit. Tannins are fine, ripe and balanced. The structure has restrained power.

 We will select a range of 6 premium craft beers (I.P.A., Wheat Beer, Porter, Fruit Beer...maybe even a Smoked Beer!) to be paired ...with 6 Bay Tree courses.

Tickets are £45 per person, or £40 per person in groups of 4 or more.

 These evenings fill up quickly, so do book early if this looks like your kind of thing!

A free beer for anyone who attends in lederhosen !! (not really actually, but we are sure everyone else would appreciate it if you did !!)
