Danny Boy Cream Liqueur
In 1996 Belfast bus driver Peter Lavery became the biggest National Lottery winner in Northern Ireland after winning £10,248,233. In the last 15 years Peter has become well known throughout Ireland and much further a field for his tireless community and charity work, particularly on behalf of the Rita Charles Trust, which he set up in honour of his late mother & father. Peter has always had a great love of Irish Whiskey and a deep interest in its long history. Two years ago Peter developed the concept of producing a range of premium Irish Whiskeys which he could market worldwide and which could eventually help support the Rita Charles Trust. He chose to name the whiskey after Danny Boy which is his favourite song and of course has a particularly close connection with Northern Ireland. Peter’s team spent well over a year designing the brand and choosing the whiskeys, eventually deciding to source from Ireland’s greatest award winning producer, the Cooley Distillery. To date Danny Boy whiskeys has achieved distribution throughout Ireland and the UK and has also begun to sell substantial quantities into the US market.
